Waking up with Baby G., Thrift store and Nancy's, What a nice start to my day. I picked up a nice pair of jeans and a sweater for Baby G. Book's for Gramma to read, then they go to my neighbors kids. Plates and mini tea bag holders or are they mini ashtrays? I will use those for tea bags from Nancy's attic. I took my girlfriend Bobbie with me to the thrift store where we hooked up with Nancy. We went to Nancy's house because if you never went there before you should. I would tell Bobbie you have to see her home its beautiful, on the way home Bobbie kept saying it's like being in a beautiful museum. She met Jack and Dave and all the cute things that the MJFgirls have sent her. I really needed a day like the one I had today. Thank-God for good friends.

What a wonderful find. I just love this oak potty chair. It has a place for a roll of TP and another place for the book. By By diapers. I just love it.
I picked up my girlfriend Nancy and took her with me. I got to get another box from her attic. The bird I got at the thrift but the other neat stuff were treasures from her attic. The one dish has a stamp of Byron-Molds 1978. Then carved in it is the name Dolly. My neighbor is Dolly so I plan on making banana bread and taking it over to her on that dish. It really is cute. I got a bedspread but it's in the wash. I'm taking my Christmas one off until next year, but I am leaving the electric mattress
pad on for a few more months. Now I have to get off this computer and do some housework.Yuck!

These are just a few things from the box I got from Nancy's. I will use the 2 heart shaped cake pans when Giovanni comes over. He loves to bake with Gram ma. I already used the ice cream scoop. I know I shouldn't of but it just sounded better than a sandwich. I love the big red glass,but I may give it to my brother, He's blind but this he can pour a can of beer into it and not have it spill over the top. I wish he would stop drinking but that will never happen and he said he likes his beer in a cold glass instead of a can. Now I have to get my house back in order. Have a nice day.

Proof I have A.D.D. I found these at the thrift store. I'm planning on putting a photo or receipt on each one and giving them as a little gift. They probey will be Birthday gifts. I gave one to Nancy and it looks cute on her counter top. She gave me a box of things she is giving away. I love getting these boxes. I check them out then send them on to Summer who is married to my nephew. They have 3 children and are just the cutest couple. Andy just loves her more than anything in the world. Andy didn't have an easy life, so he is making everyday of his life count. He says I married Summer because he loves that season the most and now everyday is Summer for him. I love him so much and I'm so proud of him the way he takes care of his family is storybook worthy.

Isn't this cool? I just love it. My girlfriend Bobbie came home last night from Thailand. She went for 2 1/2 weeks. She said the Thai people are wonderful and never argue or fight. There are no traffic laws. You just go. They don't lock their doors, I never did until I moved to the city. My DH reminds me this is not the city it's the Suburbs. Anyway she brought these back for me. It's a teapot. I Love the handle and spout. I have never seen anything like it before, I just love it. She also gave me an Elephant key chain. I was so excited I had something neat to put on my blog. Have a great day.

Such a nice busy day. Woke up with Giovanni, fed him breakfast then took him home to his mom's who needs to wake up eariler. Then off to gram's. Did her laundry, bedding,meals then my favorite part of the day. The thrift store with Nancy. It doesn't get much better(unless I'm raiding her attic) On the right I got 2 new aprons for .99cents each. A beautiful pitcher and a hurricane lamp. I plan on that going to the patio when it's warmer. I am keeping one of the aprons but I'm giving my girlfriend Kathy one for Christmas.(we get one gift for each month and then write a note on what we did that month..I'll even tell her I only spent .99cents and she will love it. Then when we buy our last gift in Dec. we mail all 12 gifts to each other) This started 25 years ago with my friend Diane who felt sorry for me because I only got socks & undies for Christmas. She said she would never let me have another Christmas like that again. So we started buying or making a gift a month writing and wrapping the gift every month. Diane lives only 30 miles away so we will get together and exchange our gifts then. Her DH says I get more gifts then he does. With my friend Kathy who lives in Idaho I will mail her gift. Boy, do I get side tracked. When I left the Thrift I new my day would be the same old day. Laundry, dinner, cleaning ect. But I wanted to get my blog done before DH comes home. Life is good. That isn't quite the design I was looking for but the dinner was so quick and easy I thought I would show it. 1. cut up chicken into bite size peices and cook it in a little oil. 2. add some salsa. 3. shredd some cheddar cheese and put on the top. 4.Put it on a roll and enjoy it.

It was fast, simple and tasty. My DH would not let me take a picture of him eating it but he did enjoy it. I will make this a lot.

Do you have any quick and easy reciepts to share? Its also colorful, green beans on the side would of looked and tasted good also.

I was lucky and got to visit Nancy Jo's attic. I got 3 beautiful wooden bowls. Perfect to keep my fruit in and when the fruit is gone I have a wandering Jew plant that will also look great in the bowl. First the plant would go in a plastic container, I would not want to hurt the bowl. Its beautiful..

Nancy Jo don't look. These are a few items Nancy Jo had packed away in her attic and she felt the need to clean her attic out. She has a beautiful clean attic but as a friend I said no problem I can help, I love the 4 plates with handles, perfect for pasta. The 4 ingredient cookbook will be put to use this afternoon as will the cookie jar. I love the handmade bags that she has embroidered, The little red golbet will be used to hold the Box Tops for education that I cut off from the boxs and cans that have them on. There were more items that will be given to my nephew and his wife as they can use everything and are appreciated of any item given to them. Everyone in my family loves to recieve a box especially if they know there's items from Nancy. I am so lucky to have her as a friend. She is a beautiful friend to have, and so talented also.

It's spring, at least it is in my kitchen, I can't wait for them to pop up in my gardens, if the critters left them alone over the summer.

It is nice outside today I have my grandson today and I think we will walk up to get the newspaper. It's a slow but steady hill to climb but then the walk back is easier. It showes me I need to start working out more.

I am hoping that in a few minutes this will be the scene that I will be seeing. We just spent over an hour on the swings at the park that is at the end of the street. Then we had to walk all the baseball diamonds, climb on the bleachers and take the long way home. I need a nap. The sun is so nice, just a slight breeze and a heat wave at 38 degrees.The good news is my husband decided not to buy the trailer. I think he wants a 42 inch t.v.instead. He may get more use from that. I am just glad because instead of camping I can work in my yard.
